Recommended Signings
Leeds haven’t got a bad squad but they are cash-strapped and are on the verge of administration. So if you can get about 500k then sign:
Burgos – Free. Great goalie, very experienced. Will stay with your club through thick and thin. Put him straight in goal.
Chris Cohen – West Ham 220k. Very talented defender. Only 17 and after a few years will be a decent player in the Premiership. By 22 he might be in the England squad. Play him in LB.
Lucas Radebe – Reserves. Good defender, somehow got wormed into the reserves, when he’s your best player. He was captain but Butler took the honours away from the vet. Play him in for Carlisle and make him captain again.
Walter Centeno – Saprissa 13k. Very cheap and excellent. He can last until he is about 35/6 before a replacement will be needed.
Alvaro Chacon – Saprissa 10k. He is extremely good. If you get promoted he will become an immediate star in the Premiership. Also put him in CF.
Recommended Sellings
Eirik Bakke – In your reserves and your most expensive player, he’ll struggle to play anyway. He will bring you up to 3.5m.
Michael Ricketts – Currently out on loan, he’s not needed that much anyway. May as well sell him for about 1m.
Jermaine Wright – Also not needed and will bring 800k upwards.
Julian Joachim – Not very good and definitely not needed .Will get around 650k.
Replacements
When you’re a few seasons into the game some players will be getting older and not performing as well. So on the left the players. On the right the replacement.
Burgos – Yohann Pele. I would sign Pele straight away but you with no money he will be difficult to sign. Sign him as soon as possible then loan him out until Burgos reaches 38. Then put Pele in goal.
Lucas Radebe – James Chambers. He’s quite old already and will only last one more season. Once you’ve completed the season sign Chambers and put him in for Radebe and name Kelly captain.
Gary Kelly – Jonathan Spector. He won’t leave Man U unless you’re in the Orem. So wait a season before signing him. When you do put him in your reserves until Kelly retires. Kelly is your most loyal player behind Radebe and as captain you don’t want to replce him so wait until he announces his retirement before playing Spector.
Walter Centeno – Yohann Hoetcoeur. This guy is good and young. Wait until Centeno is 36 before playing him.
Sean Gregan – Paddy McCarthy. Gregan is good but McCarthy is better. Get McCarthy A.S.A.P. then put him straight in for Gregan. If you sell Bakke then use some of the money you get for him on McCarthy.
Reserves
Leeds have 16 reserves and 2 of those are out on loan. Put Walton, Kilgallon, Butler and Ilic into your reserves and sign Moreno. Then leave them to your Assistant.
Under 19s
Leeds have 18 youth players which is quite a lot. Leave them to your youth coach, then when you reach the Prem start looking to build on your youth.
Staff
Staff are very important. You want an Assistant Manager with good coaching ability, tactics and Man Management. For coaches you want your main one to be the same as the Assistant. You then want someone good at coaching youth and goalies. For scouts there are only 3 main abilities needed. Scouting on Potential, Scouting on Ability and Determination are those 3. Physios want 100% Physiotherapy and good determination and motivating. The higher the rep the better, but when signing coaches the unproven ones are the best to sign as there are plenty of brilliant ones and they only want small wages. Leeds are in the Championship and have nom oney so it will be harder to attract better coaches. But they have a decent Reputation and a huge ground which lights up the place a bit more. Use the filter to look for decent coaches.
