To find the secret area (Well, one of possibly many, I don't know yet):
Just before you go out and meet the last boss, there is a small crawl space on your left. (That is if you're facing the last wall before the last boss). If you've rounded the game, you know which wall I'm talking about. If you crouch and crawl in, you will see a stone with an iD logo on it. If you point your mouse at it, it'll make that "you can click on this" sound. Click on it, and a wall will open on your left side. Go inside, and you will find... well... go find out :)
