Hint: Avoid needing a dining room table and chairs:
Buy one couch and set it close to the kitchen. Your Sims will use it to sit and eat, power nap, read, etc. The Sprouch Couch is recommended, as it provides the most comfort and you can get Dangleberries from it. It also avoids the need for bedrooms as well.
