Go to the cannon on World 3. (Unlock this from the ghost house) go past the cannon and there will be a box with the items flashing in order really fast. To get the item you want, you can tap your foot or make a sound in rythem with an item you want when you see it. Jump in rythem to your tapping and you should get what you want.
