Manufacturers Description
If you're knowledgeable about your games, you might remember a series of games that appeared on the Neo-Geo (and also PSOne) a while back under the name Metal Slug - a scrolling shoot-'em-up that won a place in our hearts for being such fun. Fast forward to now and we find a new game on the GBA called CT Special Forces GBA; a title that reminds us distinctly of the Metal Slug series we remember so fondly. Of course, while we're the first to believe that imitation is the highest form of flattery, we don't think there's anything wrong in borrowing a few ideas from someone else's games for your own... especially if the result winds up being this good.
You see, LSP has taken all the good bits from Metal Slug (namely the cartoon-graphic style and running along, killing stuff as you go) and added enough of its own unique touches to the game to make CT Special Forces GBA something truly special. On top of the sideways-scrolling blasting action, you'll occasionally come across vertical-scrolling levels where you take control of a helicopter with some serious firepower; other times, you'll find your character diving off a cliff with a parachute (under your control, of course) in an attempt to surprise the enemy. Throw in a whole heap of special weapons like grenades, rocket launchers and the ever-popular sniper rifle and you've got a game that's more fun that a lot of the other titles popping up on the Game Boy Advance at the moment. Believe us, you'll want to get hold of a copy of CT Special Forces GBA... if only because we told you to.
