man city on fm 08

i dont know bout u lot but im probz gonna start a career with man city before i start a career with united lol i cant beleive they got corluka bojinov garrido and elano they are deffinately gonna be in europe if they continue to buy like this, they also being linked with chiellini and some other reli gd player i forgot lol

ye it was a joke but in my first post there was about 1 maybe 2 words in text speak so that issue can drop now.

You do realise that Sven has bought these players purely on seeing video footage of them... they're not going to set the Premiership alight whatsoever and will be lucky if they scrape into the top half of the table come the end of the season. If they don't perform well in the EPL then I can't see their stats being made "exceptional" on Football Manager 2008.

Eh? have you forgot that Sven has a lot of knowledge on italian football (not that i like him)

Bojinov has loads of potential and is ideally suited to english football

Elano has played for brazil recently and played against argentina at the emirates last season and looked very good

Petrov is also suited to english football, maybe Bianchi is the only doubt and i can see him becoming another samaras but at least he scored 18 goals in seria A last season which is no mean feat

Ghetto is right he has only watched them on video , so they could be the biggest flops and waste of space and i think ur wrong i would say Bianchi is the one to look out for his pre-season scoring looks vbery promising for them.

I've got a load of knowledge on players... Football Manager anyone?

It's not like he's been in Italy for the past [x amount] of years to focus solely on Italian players or certain players who play in the Italian league(s) now is it? So he's basing his judgments on a couple of minutes footage of said players.

I'm not denying that none of them aren't decent players in their own right but simply judging your views on a player by watching a few videos of them and then spending in the best part of £40,000,000 is just... absolutely ridiculous.

sorry but how do you know that he is solely judging his buys on video fotage and to say a few minutes is ludicrus when he could have watch both players numerous times on tv, how do you know that he hasn't had all the players scouted by a trusted colleague?

Its easy to say these players will be set out for the premiership and Man city will get in europe this season, but most foreign players who come in overbroad need a season or two to mould in... Look at Drogba for example. He was a good player in his first season (I wont take that away from him), but now he's one of the best in the premiership.

british football is getting to a critical level with all these foreign players coming in there wont be no beckhams or ownes in the future and sven is not helping by buyin all foreiners

may i add arsenal to that list too
