I'm currently playing:
ive seen some trailersd to fifa 2008 on the xbox 360 and playstation 2, but ive gotta say they seem to have really seemed to excel all expectations there are going to be many great leagues, hundreds of players anda new mode called professional mode where you take a created player and take him through a great career of football, like you are that player, im not to sure if you are only that player in a match but it sounds good to me anyway,
Anyone is welcome to discuss Fifa 2008 on ere, discuss features and all.
P.s i realise Ive spelt it Pro Evo 208 insstead of 2008 in the title, im not thick please dont point it out like a noob

Weeeeeeeeeeeell I can't see this causing arguments(!) 
Personally, I prefer Fifa, Pro Evo recently just doesn't feel right to play. So I'd go for Fifa 08.

Fifa will be better yeh.
And thats a total un biased review, i liked both of the old ones, but Fifa sounds like it has MUCH more to offer, the graphics look real sharp (for next-gen anyway) and as you mentioned, the new game modes which look awsome.

I'm currently playing:
Pro Evo has got worse since 4 (the ultimate game) so I've been playing FIFA and it looks pretty good this year with "Controlling the Keeper", "Advanced Crosses and Through Balls", "Be A Pro Mode" and so on!

I prefer Pro, i started on Fifa when i was a lad but now think Pro is more realistic and plays better.

FIFA 2008 will be better than pro evo 208 defonately 
FIFA 2008 against pro evo 2008 is a harder decision though

i agree such things like ball movement is better and gameplay is tons better
