I've a neice & nephew who's birthday (twins) is coming real soon, He's got a DS and she wants one.

O.K. she's a real girly-girl so I'll get her the pink one (unless they have a purple one)

my questions are - what are a few games for littler kids? they're turning 11 I'm thinking mario cart & nintendogs for her & mario cart & something else for him.

He's a wicked pokemon card player but I don't know anything about it.

If I get just one of them Mario cart (or any other game) can they hook the DS's together so they can both play?

What do you think 11 year old boys & girls want to play?

Help the good uncle paddyboy spoil his sisters kids please.

My little sister cant get enough of Nintendogs or Animal Crossing, so that will cover your Neice
I would go for Mario Kart for your Nephew, it'll be perfect for him.

Mario Kart's a great shout, as is really any Mario game as it has mass appeal. For young 'uns the key is to look for bright colours, so things like Pokemon and Rayman etc seem like great options.

With regards to the link-up, play I know for a fact you can play Mario Kart across more than 1 DS with only 1 cartridge but its limited to a few tracks, whereas if both have the game there's more choice.

With any DS game, it should say on the back about link up play between other DS as well as Wifi link up capabilities.

I hope that helps you uncle paddy!

I'd get one of them Pokemon Diamond, and one of them Pokemon Pearl. That way, they can trade from each one

Alright, the twins are getting...

DS Lite & nintendogs for her,
Mario cart & Pokemon diamond for him.

Just so happens (& this is weird) that they're little brother was born on the same day 4 years later. He's gettin a Darth Vader schoolbag & a lightsaber battle game which rules. I think his dad might play it more than the kids but I'm betting they'll be lining up...

It works like the Wii with the motion sensors and you fight pre-sequenced fights with bad men who are on the Tee-Vee. Ages 8-up. He's 7 but I'm sure he can handle it. (He's a true brawler.)

This deffo helps, my bother-in-law is truly geek-savvy in all areas of tech, he just needs to know somethings possible & it's as good as done. I'm sure wifi will be heading they're way come Christmas time if it's not already in place.

They should just get a Wii. Only £179.99. Go on you know they'd love it.
