Sega Rally

Any thoughts on the new Sega Rally? Too me I think I will be getting this over DiRT. I loved the old Saturn Sega Rally - it was one of the best racing games ever and looks like Sega are making this similar in that its going to be an arcade style racer. The new features such as track deformation as well are shaping up well I think.

Looks good, but I'll wait for the demo before I decide whether to buy or not...

It looks good, but I haven't got a 360, but this thread brought back so many good memories of old school sega rally!

Good times!

I really hope they have some of the original tracks in the New Sega Rally. The Celica is still there which I'm happy about.

So glad demo was released before the games release. I was thinking of getting it as soon as it came out... Might give it another try when (and if) I get a Racing Wheel.

So no one likes the demo?
I thought it was better than DiRT

Hated the demo. DiRT demo was great. 3 different races, 3 different cars... SEGA Rally has one race course and 2 cars...

I didn't like the controls tbh. Obviously it's meant to be an arcadey type game, but I don't want to car to become almost uncontrollable every time I move the stick! The wheel would probably make it a lot better, but I don't want to HAVE to buy the wheel.

Sega Rally has 2 courses in the Demo. And anyway how can you judge a game on the size of the demo?

Ugh, I hate when people get all defensive when people criticise a game because of the demo.
Look, Sega released the demo to give people an idea of what the game is like and try and entice people to buy the full game! If they release a crap demo, then people are going to be put off, simple as.
The moral of the story? Release a top drawer demo and people WILL buy...
