I've just logged on and a couple of times when I've gone to jump to the last post in forum topics it hasn't worked.
It seemed to work OK on the GT post about where to go with any new bugs found, so perhaps the issue is when there is more than 1 page to a thread, and the last post is therefore not on the same page.
Just thought I'd let you know, heres a link of an example:

This happened to me as well, it only seems to do it on certain topics though.
I tried it on The Crazy Banning Thread Thing.
