A ickle tip for anyone still wantin and searchin for a WII try sainsburys, i work at 1 and there gettin them quite regularly

From what I've heard most places are getting them quite regularly, its just that so many people want them in time for Christmas. There was a news link on this site a few weeks back where the head of HMV in Oxford Street said that they were getting a steady stream of Wiis its just they were being snapped up so fast. He said one batch got snapped up in 34 minutes! And thats without taking preorders any more.
It seems that stores aren't complaining they aren't getting enough Wiis, as they are all receiving a decent amount, its just that demand is so high at the moment that it seems that Nintendo aren't providing enough.
Having said that, I'm sure if Nintendo wanted to they could have recruited more people, built new factories whatever -
if they wanted to. The fact is though they actually don't need to. The hype around not getting one only makes people want them more, and the Wii "fad" looks set to last a lot longer than its first year.

(bit off topic but) I just converted £300 to Australian dollars and it came up with $698. You guys don't seriously have to pay that much for a Wii do you? Thats absolutely ridiculous!!!
The one I'm getting is only $350

Annoyingly Wiis aren't actually that scarce even in other parts of Europe. Good old UK though seems to be hitting a Wii drought.
Not that that affects me o' course
