Assassins creed ''One of the top 5 most disappointing games of all time''
Post: #21 - 16 Nov 2007 06:47
Graphically it's a gorgeous treat.
The training should be more exacting.
I've played a few hours & the Movement of your man is a bit clunky.
The whole double-camera-while-doing-multiple-actions thing makes me want two pinkies on each hand. It's a tough controller configuration.
Tomorrow I'll have a decent amount of time to play...

Also got it today! First impressions: OMG! Detail is awesome. About 15 minutes through though

ive played quite a bit now killed the first 2 contracts, i agree that the controls take some getting used to but it gets easier. its just that the controls are so different from other games in this genre. it just gets a bit repetitive in terms of climbing towers and saving citizens.
for some reason when im on a horse everyone wants me dead lol i can be going slowly and its like 'kill the heathen!'

The reason they all want you dead when you are riding the horse is because of the area you are in (it's Templar Controlled). According to the backstory, Templars + Assassins = HATE. If you run up on a Templar in the cities, even if you are "blending", they will come after you immediately because they recognize Assassins on sight and want you dead.
Other than a few technical glitches, this game is very good IMHO. I just finished the 4th Assassination and, hype aside, I think this one is living up to what I thought it would. Nice to know that some games can still deliver on what the Devs say it will. Are the "free" missions a bit repetitive? Yes, but the fun of sticking a blade in a guy's gut hasn't gotten old yet.

after completing it i found it is far too repetative but still extremely good with a good story line little improvements needed but by far one of the better games for 360, better than halo 3 IMO hope thers gonna be a second, btw wots the most amount of guards anyone has taken on at one time?

am i the only one who found this game slow, boring and repeptitive. The graphics are the only thing it has going for it...just like the ps3 (que: gangwar) nah the last bits a joke but i honestly didnt enjoy this game at all, i fiund it really hard to play (not in terms of difficulty, just coz it was boring)

Assassins Creed disappointing?? no way, i have played it through twice now and still havent grown tired of it. there is a kind of joyous satisfaction of walking up to a group of guards taking 2 out with the hidden blade and then fighting the rest, visually it is stunning, i often get lost just staring at the cities from the high points.
Im still running aruond trying to find all the templars and personally cant wait for #2, which will be out as it was left open for it...

I have to say.
It is so so so sadly dissapointing, I remeber it being previewed on TV and the producers etc were talking saying how good it was, I thought it isnt my type of game and yet I bought it last week due to birthday money, a £10 voucher and the fact I got it for £10

its so repetitive and the realism and looks just get boring after a while, same old you know? view point here then save citizen, waste time, and recycle about 30 times (not including per district and per victim you need to assasinate!)
the easyness/buggyness of the achievements...
just button bash A 20 times when your near scholars for 5G, jump through the same market stall 20 times, push the same beggars 20 times...
and I have been doing the free missions, every single one of them simply because I do not want to retrack...
im starting to hate this game.
I loved the start with the wood logs... but it doesnt seem anything like that happens again...
lame.
