PES08 Dissapointment?
Post: #1 - 22 Nov 2007 17:22
This is for all those PES fans out there, is anyone else really dissapointed with the latest installment?
Here is 5 reasons why i feel it's a dissapointment:
1 - The moment you load the game it's just annoying, the music is awful and the menu's just to arcade like.
2 - Licensing is even worse than last time.
3 - The gameplay is great as usual but just not as great as the last installment.
4 - The commentators are as usual just so poor its not worth mentioning.
5 - The Ai is not that clever as it used to be, must be getting stupid in it's old age!
Don't get me wrong i will still play the game, however it will be last years installment instead. The new game just feels rushed and untidy and while the developers at Konami continue to use the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' motto Fifa is becoming very good, the last two installments were quite good and i felt it was getting stronger each year, and i recently purchased the new installment for PS3, and this is hard to say as i have bad mouthed Fifa for so long, it is actually a lot better than PES this year. EA have finally sorted the gameplay out and feels great and looks great, and those two pluses combined with fifa's licensing and amazing playlists and online gaming makes Fifa a very very tough competitor!
I hope the guy's at Konami get improving PES or soon it will get out done again and again, giving Fifa its crown of Football games back.
What do you think?

No my point is not that the game is rubbish, my point is that compared to the new fifa and the last PES installment its dissapointing. You have to be really ignorant to say the gameplay is bad.

The Pro Evolution Soccer games lost all meaning after the 4th one in my opinion. They were trying to improve something that they couldn't really improve on. Well, tell a lie, you could vary the commentating a bit and get it licesned.
Fifa is shocking. I find it unbelievable that Clive Tilsley and Andy Gray would commentate on Walsall Vs Accrington Stanley... I'm not going into how bad it is.
