The best game ever?
Post: #1 - 12 Dec 2007 17:44
Super Mario Galaxy has now been rated (according to GTs average rating system) as the best game ever.
Or at very least, the best game for 2-3 generations of gaming.
It has just overtaken the widely acclaimed Zelda; Ocarina of Time in the rankings and now holds top spot.
What do you guys think of this?
Justified?
Over-hyped?
Ratings systems gone mad?

There's no online with Super Mario Galaxy, but there is a multiplayer option of sorts.
Like most Mario games, it is a single player adventure, but in a similar way that Sonic 2 was a 2 player adventure, the second player can help the main player whilst playing by collecting items for them and attacking enemies or holding them back.

It WAS supposed to be released in October. And yes I live in Antarctica. ... No, not really. But seriously, folks, Nintendo getting our hopes up just to let them come crashing down in what can only be described as a fury of sadness and rage is just wrong.
By "our" I mean "my". Perhaps It's just the part of the country I'm in. My friend in Florida seems to have it, the lucky little basttt... yeah.

Is it better than playing one player.
Or is does it just get in the way etc.

I much pefer having someone else there controlling player 2 as it is much more handy. Although it can be not as fun for them as they do not get to do a great deal in terms of actual control. But it certainly is a help.
Luckily you don't have to specify at the start of the adventure whether it is a 1-player or 2-player adventure, so if you have got a mate to play it with I would seriously try it out.
