I'm currently playing:

The Sims 2 Castaway (DS)

Can anyone tell me how to make the rope necessary to fix the bridge and create a grapling hook?
I also need help on making a shovel because i have both the spade and the handle but when I go to the crafting station, it does not show up on the list.
PLEASE HELP, cant go on unless i figure this out!

I looked at other gaming boards and I found out this info;

the item to make rope is called sisal and looks like a pineapple stuck in the ground with grass shoots coming out of it. it can also be used to make twine for a fishing pole.

I can't locate the sisal but if you can I would apprichiate it if you would message me and tell me where! thats lliolix3

I had a really hard time with these as well. I was super angry that I had all the parts, but no template. In the crafting templates area, the question marks are not missing templates; instead, they are "mystery items" which will show the recipe but don't give any information about the finished product. For the shovel, find the question mark that uses the handle plus the blade, and make it. For the rope--hopefully you've collected some vines--find the one which uses vines and a knife? an axe? I can't remember, but you have whatever it takes already. Once you get the shovel, everything is better and you won't be angry anymore.
