I already have the axe and I'm trying to remember how you get it.... I think Ms Weeder gives you the axe head but I don't remember how you get the handle, sorry.
But as far as the curry dish, I always thought I had missed it but you won't get it until you can finish all the chef's missions. He gives it to you after you craft the big fire for him. But you can't make the fire for him until you get the metal pole from the student. And her missions are pretty easy so finish all of hers first. Then it'll all fall in place

thats rite, to get the axe you have to complete a couple of tasks from the ladie who starts off in a bush (on the other island) then u have to collect other bits. Im stuck as i cant seem to colect ALL the bugs, u find the fulleresent (sorry cant spell) pink bug on the place thats got a bug sign.
