Dr feelgood

Hey guys, having a few problems with this game.
I've done 22% of it.
I've 3 characters so far, i've made dr feelgood better, i've grown a banana tree for mrs weeder and chilli plant bush but chef, wont take them off me. I've fixed the bridge and been to the bit where you get the lovely skulls and elephants and precious stones.
Someone keeps talking about green cure and going to see Dr feelgood and ask her for help, but it doe'nt give me an option to ask for her help from her. I can trade, talk or examine her or give her a gift. I've got all the items for cure but wen i give them as gifts nothing happens. Also where is the pufferfish, i've waiting by the shore for ever!!! Do i need the cure berfore i get the pufferfish? help someone i'm stuck. i feel like i'm going around in circles. x
