What i've come to realise...over time

Right, i've got a PS3 as you might know.

The 360 to PS3 ratio of my friends is quite different.
Being outnumbered with most of my friends having 360's can be irritating, I feel like strangling them.

They are eliteists. Won't let me get my opinion in, can't accept that its a good console, nothing good about it?

Seriously why are folk like this?

I've no problems with the 360, I've played it at friends houses.

I just never jumped on the Xbox Bandwagon.

because... the 360 IS better? lol . well because you are essentially a minority who doesn't have/use money/influence to errr make your voice louder? ok that's confusing but you get what i;m trying to say.

u can get a 360 for pretty cheap something place where they had 1 for 170 with a game and this was the with the harddrive

but i say get wii as dead rising and madworld r on the way and whats more fun than looking like a prat killing things

I even managed to beat this guy i know on Call of Duty 4 on his 360 on split screen

He claimed i cheated because i was looking at his screen.
I said aye but you can look at mines, plus you have console advantage

But seriously, fanboys are just best left alone anyways, because trying to even begin a rational conversation with them about a different console is a non-starter.

Its fine to have preferences - as we all do, but people who can't accept that other consoles actually do have advantages aren't worth bothering with to be honest.

speaking of fanboys there are 2 types: the ignorance fanboy, who doesn't know f*ck about the other consoles (i.e 8 year old ps2 fans and for example) , and the denial fanboy who knowing about all the other 2's things, seems to grab on desperately to the fact that they suck in comparison to the features of his console (usual internet forum fanboy).

As much as I respect the awesomeness of the PS3, I seem to have a strange prejudice towards the console and sony in general, always slagging it off, even though I secretly would like one for MGS4, Ratchet and Clank and MAG.

Think about it this way, this isn't just a gaming thing. People want to think that what they own is better than their friends, coworkers, classmates etc.

Cars for example. Anyone who owns a car has probably slagged off someone else's or had theirs slagged off. The fact is, the chances of someone with a 1.9 Astra ever going a hell of a lot faster than someone with a 1.4 Astra is very small.

exactly, i think the xbox 360 is the bees knees, and rules every other console, but it would probably be completley diffrent if i had bought a ps3 instead

i own all 3.. a wii,360 and ps3

and im just going about the games here, my faviourite is Test Drive Unlimited, and thats on the 360, so im always on that... then my second is PGR4, which is also on the 360...

so therefore i havent really used my PS3 that much and i NEVER use my Wii...

im not coming to the conclusion that the 360 is better, cos i like all 3 of them, but at the moment im using 360 more cos of the exlusive games mentioned above (well i know test drive is also on PC, PS2 and PSP, but its not on the PS3) happened to be on the 360...

now my mate will let me borrow MGS4 sometime soon (so he says) and thats on the PS3 - i love "DiRT" and Resistance:FOM and thats also on PS3 (got DiRT PS3 to use it more often, same with Fifa 08, GRiD, and GTA:IV)

so i'm completely neutural with all 3 - but then having said that, i sometimes prefer the 360 cos my ps3 is really just sitting there collecting dust and i sometimes think to myself... sell the PS3 games if they are on the 360 aswell and buy that, but then i think no cos i'll be a hypocrite lol

well in repsonse to the above i honestly hardly touch my wii. games like forza and halo 3 are just too great and withstand the test of time much better than other games
... i would also blame the lack of nintendo's solid online mode which is just plain awful to use.

there's also the fact that there are a lot of cheap preowned 360 games and the fact that buying a wiimote+nunckuck is a tearful expense... making the 360 again more *suited* to my needs. plus the 360 has the PC-shared exclusives.

Im all for the 360, probably because I don't actually play anything but Halo 3 but thats besides the point. The 360 just seems better all around for me. The exclusives are so much better than the other consoles.

Yeah yeah us 360 owners have to pay for Xbox live but its infinitely better than PSN so its worth £30 a year. The PSN marketplace is a joke too. (its probably changed since I last went on it though)

And before you start calling me a fanboy I DID own a PS3 at 1 point and all it was good for was collecting dust. I bought it saturday morning and I was back to my 360 by saturday afternoon. DUST COLLECTER FTW.

Thats my opinion anyway.
