I haven't actually got a clue, don't think I've turned on a console of any description in months, let alone played or updated one.

And as for your statement about the 360's first year of release being less disastrous than that of the PS3s, despite the hardware failures. I laugh whole-heartedly. Aside from the lack of games and high price, what other "disasters" did the PS3 encounter? Your sales figures are probably accurate, can't be bothered using Google, and those ratios will most probably change again after Microsoft decided to lower their prices yet again.

I consider that to be pretty important actually, hence i didnt get one i was all ready for one but it kept getting delayed then i just kept seeing 360 adverts and all the games they had coming and the PS3 didnt have any of the footie games for there first year (although they turned out to be sh*t, but that wasnt known before release) and then the price just became a stumbling block :\

it's only because of brandly loyalty and RROD that the ps3 isn't already in it's grave

I like to think im not a fanboy, although Im sure someone will tell me otherwise. After all, I do have all 3 of the last gen consoles and still have a go on them all from time to time.

get a 360 - almost 2x cheaper, more and better games, brilliant and better online, better controller (ps3 triggers and thumbsticks are.... *vomits* ) plus you get a headset with it and there's no installing. but then again just go with what you want

2. I've got Halo 1 for the PC, I've not completed it, I have it installed on my PC though, I used to play Halo online on the PC, I wasn't Crap but I wasn't the best Either.

3. I'll tell you my opinion of a better game than Halo, Half-Life, Better Story, Better Graphics in Half-Life 1 than there are in Halo..., Half-Life has a far better feel to it and far better gameplay.

1. meh halo and cod are like arch rivals - same relase date, fPS multiplayer blockbusters, etc does it really matter wether you mentioned it or not?

2. fine but halo 1 MP is like completely different to halo 2 and 3 and from 7 years ago. not to mention it has the ultimate ftw invicipistol

3. better story - i thought you said you hadn't completed halo. let alone halo 2(where the bulk of the story is) or half life 1 graphics vs halo 1 graphics come on now... and as for far better feel to it and gameplay come on you haven't played 2 betrayals or the battle at the citadel (h3)?? i don't think a single game has reached anything like it even today. as for feel meh you could be right since halo3s weapons feel kinda crappy... apart from some like the sniper rifle, SMG, carbine which are just a pleasure to use. but then again halo 3s vehicle combat is unmatched

HL1 come out at like 1998, so you cant really compare the GFX from the two, as one is 3 years older than the other.
HL2 came out around the same time Halo 2 did. In terms of detail, unless you have a top-spec PC, Halo has the slight GFX edge, but the physics in HL2 havent been matched since its come out, which is a HUGE plus over Halo. And everyone knows that Halo 2 was terrible in single player. HL2 was brilliant in the SP.
And as for the multiplayer, yes, HL2 MP is decent, but I have 2 words for you. Counter-Strike(which comes FREE with HL when retail bought, Source with HL2), let alone source. CS has been played since 1998 and is STILL hugely popular, Source is hugely popular aswell. But to have a game as far back as 1998 still being played so widely, is something I think will never happen with Halo 3, let alone 2.

um i didn't compare graphics and halo uses the same physics engine has half life 2. and halo 2 single player was awesome, people just say it sucks because it's so much harder than halo 1. and as for counterstrike it's on PC and requires very little hardwarewise and as you said it comes free with half life so whwreas to play halo 2 or 3 you#d need to buy a 360, not to mention a live subscription with counterstrike you already have the necessary things to play, so it's like it's free. also lots of people still play halo 1 and 2

what about episode 2??? HUH??? besides unlike 99% of other games halo 3 gets constant improvements and additions to it

Have you seen the number of updates and mods steam do to the source engine and games using it? There is literally hundreds.

mods... the PCs trump card. but they're not part of the actual game

TBH, everyone gets bored of a game at some point, no matter how much they dispute it. Mods are there to keep it different and fun. Something consoles cant really do

forge and custom game editor says hi . you could probably recreate rainbow 6, call of duty, do absolutely anything with those in halo 3. it rocks hard. hell there's even a map variant with a star destroyer floating in the air. with corridors inside and turrets and everything. and a d-day map. with fusion coil bombardments and all
