what pockets do you have as the psp is slighly longer than the ds but slightly thinner so same problems for size really.

He was talking about the price.

If that is so then £150ish on import is a bit more than £100 but then again it is more than just a console and you can see what is on the screen. Seriously nintendo have messed up this time with a already outdated console technically screen size as well as processor and graphics and have less software due for it than the gba this year and why did they not bring out games such as ridge racer for launch in the U.K. when it will be the same version as the U.S. that came out before christmas. I have a ds and hope for some good titles that use the touch screen but see the lack of support and the technical superiority of the psp killing it. I am open minded about sony and nintendo (just hate microsoft) and own machines from both but find that I only have 4 games for the ds and cannot see much on the horizon to wet my appetite but have 2 psps (one for the kids) and 11 titles of which 5 I have played to death. Though I have enjoyed mario and thought ridge racer was not bad until I played the psp version which is a better game by far.

Dixons now say £180 but I believe this will be a value pack like the U.S. so if standalone packs become available it should be £150 otherwise people will import due to better prices.

What adaptor does your psp need? And by current emptyrelease shedule the ds looks like its dead before the psp is even released in Europe.

I've played an imported PSP and i really liked it. the graphics were amazing and i like the idea of music on it BUT.... you would need to carry around like 10 memory cards to have 100 songs. I own a DS and i like the way they incorporate the touch screen into every game. When they release the mighty Zelda and Mario Kart, the DS will be a force to be reckoned with.

The PSP isn't quite portable enough...

You do know that memory sticks come in larger sizes than the 32mb don't you? I have a 1gb card that has 1 film and 5 albums and could put 300 songs on from mp3 or about 400 songs if I convert to atrac. Yes a new mario and the rest will be nice if not just ports but what else is due as it has less games due than the gamecube. Why have they not released some of the U.S. games yet even though there is no need to convert anything like home consoles? Nintendo have and will always be stupid at marketing there machines and games (remember £60 for a snes game, gameboy colour and original gba) so will kill the ds themselves if they don't get games onto the shelves. I like a 2 portable game market as it will stop nintendo releasing ports like they did with the gba and push games forward but all so far including wario are just updates of previous titles on other machines.

PSP should be called the TBFYP
= To Big For You Pockets

Then the ds should be SHSWAG = should have stuck with a gameboy (as more games currently to released for the gba in next six months)

DS plays the GBA games anyway,so its all good
i was in gamestop and the guy was showing me the 'playstation 2 quality graphics'
it was the new NFSU game and it looks nothing like current gen console graphics
i'd say nintendo do have the better machine, as they go for innovation which is good (with the exception of the mario party games, good god)
donkey konga is the most drunken fun you can have with your clothes on (maybe, get back to me on that)
and wario ware ds/cube/gba are all genius

the psp has better games. At least in my opinion, most of the ds games seem to be kid ones.

Can DS ply movies and store songs and stuff? (jus wondering coz that was a reason why i wanted the psp)

Does it really need to? You can buy a cheap Mp3 and DS And Portable DVD player for less than a PSP. then you say - But PSP has it all in one, yes but the DVDs are rubbish, You hav to buy compatible PSP dvds.

id like to know where you get your dvd player from then coz for a reasonably good one (similar to psp) theyre all about 150quid. And about the dvds, what difference does it make tbh you get to watch the dvd whichever one you buy. Anyway the PSP still has them all in one its works out cheaper and has better games
