I can save 49 lemmings but the last one either keeps mining or bashing,

dont think original game walkthrough works, how do you get the digger to bounce and turn around in the psp game?
there are many solutions to save 49 lemmings, found only one to save the 50 (would love to hear a simpler one if there is):
use the stairs to jump over the exit, let the lemming bounce off the final wall and turn him into a miner at the very last instant before he jumps through the exit on his way back. Then it gets tricky: idea to have him bash a tunnel all the way back to the start; need to do it at right depth, deep enough to make it through the first hole, but not too deep otherwise he bashes himself all the way into the water. You achieve that by having the lemming do exactly one dig just before bashing!
