First XBOX 360 Budget Game?

We were shocked enough when Rockstar were making a
Table Tennis game but we never guessed it would be a budget game did we?
Pre-orders are already as low as £24.99 (you can find a full list of prices
here.)

The link in my original post about Table Tennis said it would be budget
IGN: Why the $39.99 price-point? Most games have gone up in price. Is that an indication that it's not a full-priced game, or is it something different?
Sam Houser: Rockstar's relationship with people who play our games is something we value and treasure greatly. We believe that Table Tennis is as pure, polished, intense and fun a game as the other games we have created, but it would be naïve of us not to recognize that this is a different sort of game to Grand Theft Auto, for example. In terms of value for money we think the hundreds of hours of gameplay of Grand Theft Auto is probably worth more than the $50 price tag, but rather than pushing to increase the price of games, we'd rather keep on over-delivering on value.

Releasing it at a budget price is not a good sign of the games quality methinks. I reckon rock* are just getting used to the x-360 mechanics and stuff before moving on to bigger things.

I think Rockstar will be making a GTA for the 360 for around Christmas time and I agree with gazmannus about the "try out".

I agree but I think R* is making a smart move here, few would pay the normal 360' game price for ping-pong. Selling it at a less pricey rate will make it the 360' game of choice for Grannies to get for birthday pressies and such.

Yes it will make "The gaming War" a bit more intresting with a different kind of game and price!

The strange thing is that Rockstar have promised Bully for PS2 and XBOX and it looks like the Table Tennis game is coming out before Bully!
