I am currently in Manager Mode and trying to get involved in the transfer market.
For some reason the number of approaches / bids I am allowed to make is limited. Indeed, because I tried to buy a few players last season - all of whom rejected (!) - I have started the new season only being able to make 1 bid. Once I used this, again the player rejected, I am now down to no bids.
Can anyone help with this - is there something I am missing here!!!

I had the same problem so what i did was just save my bids bcoz i got +1 bid per match.
Alternatively you coulg upgrade your negotiator so it takes fewer bids to sign a player

yes this also happened to me and you should try and get your scout level up more.

a transfer is like a date, so you have to understand what they want, and offer that
every time you click in a player and appears a 4 or 5 years contract, it is a sign that he wants to play in your team...
if he (ex: wayne rooney) offers 1 year contract and the is young, forget it, nothing will put him in your team...
if you do not have a high transfer manager, in the beginning you use the rule of 1,2 and 1,4...
everytime you see a player in the transfer market that doesnt want to go by the offer, you multiply by 1,2...
if you want a player that is not in the transfer market, multiply the transfer fee and the salary per game by 1,4...
as time goes by and the transfer manager evolves, you change the rule, by 1,1 and 1,3...
i hope i can help anyone, this help me a lot and with this i can have a nice team of newcastle with saviola, henry, d´alessandro, cicinho, joe cole, dyer, dagoberto...
sorry ´bout my english, i´m a brazilian guy, so I´m not so fluent...
