I'm currently playing:
guys any advice i really need a quality defensive mid for liverpool and ive only got about seven mill left to spend ive been playing xabi alonso but he only averages about a 5 rating hamaan is always tired coz hes gettin on and im using lufc's tactics so its qite an important role any suggestions?

seyi george olofinjana of wolves is cheap, young, and great. id say pirlo of ac milan or baptista of sevilla once you get a little more money. if you use the 4-3-3 that lufc forever put, which is very effective, the defensive midfielder isnt usually gonna average high ratings, so dont expect an immediate improvement. another idea is to move the dm up to center midfield, just behind the halfway line, and stick alonso there.

Ok listen. It is hard to choose with so many opinions shoved aroung. Everton4Lfe, you don't even HAVE CM5 so I would go back to your beloved FM forum. In my opinion the best DM would be Viera but he is very expensive and getting odler. Roy Keane is also good but old. If you want to go for young talent then Mascherano is definitely the one to go for.
