yeh thats the one, thats a good enough recommendation for me lol to ebay! (have they still got that stupid steam thing on coz i had real problems running hl2 after buying it on ebay due to re-registration)

damn i guess im gonna have to buy it new now then *rummages for extra £7 behind sofa* 
Anyway yeh i can play hl2 now but it took like 2 months to get it sorted and i had to send loads of pics of the serial number and stuff but they reset the account in the end so it works now

gas can you help me sort out why my half life 2 game, well all of it is crashing when i try to load it.

First, try "Verify integrity of game cache" and "Defragment cache files" (both in Properties).
If no luck, Contact Steam Support. I had to about 3 times while trying to play Episode 1.

OMFG when I was in Japan I went into an arcade and they had HL2: Survivor, which, for those of you who dont know, is the arcade machine version of HL2 where you use a pair of joysticks and pedals and stuff to control it. I pwned the silly japaneses with my 1337 crowbar skillz, they didnt know what hit (xD) em! All that practise paid off when I could show off in the arcade muhahahaha! My xfire is on that other page that gassy posted gaz. But now that you own hl2, you MUST MUST MUST get gmod. Gmod r0x. Liek, stuff CSS, you can play gmod for hours and hours and hours...
