Halo 3 might not be there waiting to ambush PlayStation 3 this November, but Gears of War will - Microsoft's just announced it's due out in the UK on November 17th.
In the US, the game will be out on November 12th.
As well as a normal version, we'll also have the chance to buy a collector's limited edition version featuring the "Destroyed Beauty" art book and a bonus DVD on the making of the game, in a Halo 2-style metal box.
Developed by Epic Games and published by Microsoft, Gears is the most highly anticipated Xbox 360 game of the year. Lead designer Cliff Bleszinski reckons it's "a one-two punch of cinematic action paired with a thrilling and compelling interactive experience."

It'd be intersting to see if an unknown franchise (if one that looks truly amazing) can steal any of the PS3's thunder.

Actually i think metal gear solid 4: Guns of the patriots will put up a good fight against that game...

I've been waiting on gears of war for ages. Think it looks dead good personally. Will it steal any PS3 thunder? Dunno, guess i'll have to buy a PS3 and find out. Shame.

I'm currently playing:
the only ps3 game that will put up a fight against GOW on 360 is MGS 4, because it has been around since the first playstation and each one has been the top shooter game of its time
only prob is that snake is old, should make it interesting though
