All GTA games do that. If you buy an identical copy it says it. Platinum or not. It happened to me with III and Vice city. Suck it does not make you.

My game saves worked with more than four different copies of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City... I'd gotten 100% and people wanted to have it on their memory disks so I copied my game save onto their memory card, they took it home and it worked fine... no cock ups or nothing.
