MARIO 64 DS HELP! 8red courtyard coins.

Right now I have 149stars, and 29secret star's. The only one i haven't got is the 8red coins in the castle courtyard. I've heard theres a bug with this star, that if you don't get it early it won't appear. I've also heard if this is your case, you can: "Talk to a toad that gave u one of the 3 stars, go into a level get any star, come back out and talk to the toad again and it will give u another star"
Also one of the FAQ forums said it might be based on time, when you enter the courtyard at a certain time possibly the red coins will be there.

I HAVE TRIED ALL OF THE ABOVE, and i have 149stars, and i can't seem to get an extra star.

Ive also ran through all the secret stars, and i have them all...the only one i don't remmeber getting is the 8red coins...

CAN ANYONE HELP?! possibly specific instructions on how to get a toad to give u the star?

Have you got all three stars of the toad then or not?

I went through ALL 30 secret stars, i even got them ALL AGAIN.(transparent blue stars). THE ONLY ONE I didn't get again was 8 red coins from boos. I even talked to every single TOAD in the castle.
Does anyone know a specific way to get the FINAL star, or am i stuck at 149stars forever.
(I emailed Nintendo About the issue, they said "we cant help you, check our forums" fkn BS imo)

Have you read the Walkthrough on Ign.com , incase you have usee it before its very helpful and will desplay every star. it even displays how to get all 30 secret stars

Yeah i've read that. That's where i went to make sure i wasn't missing another star. I went there all 30stars, and i'm going to do it AGAIN...since everyone keeps telling me i must be missing another star, but i would bet my left arm, that this IS the star i'm missing, and theres an unfixable bug.

OMG, I am sorry for the confusion here. I know for a fact i never got the boo stars, but i guess a toad gave me the star and i didn't know it...because on the BIG BOO BATTLE, as luigi

Once Luigi is invisible, quickly run to the next room (through the eastern doorwa) and then to the last room (through the northern doorway). Sigh, i'm sorry i'm an idiot. I SWEAR i went through all the stars, but i guess i missed this one even though i checked TWICE...but i went through them a third time...i didn't have this star.

Lol no problem, so you have 150 now? Because i got 150 not long ago on the DS and i used the walkthrough to help me aswell.

Yes i have 150, i actually didn't use any kind of help or walkthrough until i had about 147stars. 2nd slide(under21sec)
Luigi through the mirror by warrior through the door into the white room.
and the one mentioned above.

There are actually 3 stars on the slide y'no.
You get one if you get all the coins on Peachs slide including the blue ones you have to pound the small pillar for.

i had the same problem coincidently. i thought that it was the last one for me to get (the 8red coins from the courtyard) but the i was doing other ones to make sure that i hadnt missed a different star. and the one which i had missed was in the slide one(i think it was in the room where you can change characters but there is a painting of peach and you jump into it and there is a slide) from here you can get 2 stars. the first is for simply completing the race and the other is for beating the race within a certain time, which i think is somthing like 20secs or 22secs.
