what player do you tink is the most overated in the world?
Post: #81 - 12 Apr 2006 11:14
Vieras about 28 29
Same is happening with beckham as once players get past their prime, although they may still be good players they are compared to their past to often and so they lose their fans. Its like shearer, he should have retired last season because although he will forever be remembered as a hero and i dont think hes lost any of his fans but people are beginning to realise hes not the player he once was.

Being able to score from outside the box doesnt determine what makes a good striker. A good striker shouldnt really be outside the box in the first place its midfielders that normally score from outside the box all good strikers poach theres nothing wrong with that thats how they get goals which is what they are paid to do. RVN is a great striker regardless of whether or not he scores outside of the box.

Jermaine Jenas. Just don't get the hype.
Raul is pretty overrated too. Oh and Owen Hargreaves. Never understood why he receives so many plaudits. There all coming to me now. What about Peter Crouch?

owen hargreaves is awesome. stfu. only joking. i never realised it was possible to make plyers invisible... then i saw hargreaves play...totally useless...

hmmm didier droga and essien are both way over rated - its only thanks to lampards goals that drogba gets away with having a poor scoring record he is there main striker and isnt capable of being a 20 goal a season man and im not goona waste my breath on essien!
as for the person who said rvn is a better 'striker' than henry not a chance. Henry has been golden boot winner 4 times in the last 5 seasons so enough said henry is a better 'striker' than rvn end of!

i think i owe hargreaves an apology. he was one of England's most consistent players in the world cup. certainly deserved his place
