Ok, I downloaded and played the demo for this today, and I have to say it is one of the best demos I have played for a while. While the combat system itself features some strange new additions, its the suspense that did it for me. Not quite sure what was happening, but theres this crazy little girl who kept on popping up and forcing me to cack myself. And then theres the freaky corridors... and, well. I dont wanna spoil it. If you like FPSs of any kind, and have a fast connection, download the demo and play it NOW (its 600mb+ so beware, it takes a while...)

I've been following F.E.A.R. for a long time. The demo is really good and I hope the game continues on a good start. I want to know how multiplayer is going to work with your charcters "increased reactions".

I love the slowmo thing, its such fun when you're up close to someone and you begin shooting at them. You can follow every bullet and watch as each individual limb gets blown backwards. Oh, speaking of mindless violence, did you notice that a direct headshot blows their heads clean off?

Oh yes, there's set to be a lot of midless violence in this game! Like this:

Yipee! VU Games and Monolith have confirmed that the game has gone "gold" (that effectively means the game production is finished) and will be released worldwide on October 18th. Not only that though, VUG and Monlith say that a multiplayer demo will be released in late September.

Think yourself lucky you haven't been following S.T.A.L.K.E.R. like me! Man that looks great. I'm beginning to worry about the no shows from GSC!
