The Multiplayer Demo for F.E.A.R. will be released on Thursday 29th September.
"The 550MB F.E.A.R multiplayer demo will feature two maps: Factory, which will be a deathmatch map, and support team deathmatch, slow-motion team deathmatch, and slow-motion deathmatch, while Facility, a capture the flag map will support slow-motion capture the flag"

The demo is of course now available. Below are the system requirements:
Windows(R) XP, x64 or 2000 with latest service pack installed, 1.7GHz CPU, 512MB RAM or more, 64MB GeForce4 Ti or Radeon 9000 video card, 800MB disk space, DirectX(R) 9.0c August Edition or higher

My connection is being gey- I tried to download it but could only achieve a speed of 5KB/s... usually its 150+. It gave me a guestimate of something stupid like 21 hours. Gey gey gey...

I tend to have really slow download speed when using Gamespot. I was hoping the demo would be available through Xfire like the SP demo so I could start it, then pick up where I leave off. Hopefully it'll be on Xfire soon!

I finally managed to download the MP demo and I have to say, if you think the SP demo is good, you'll love the MP demo! It's fantastic. Slowmo is only available in some servers, the others are just a regular server. Since it's pretty much a new way of playing, everyone is pretty much the same level. Obviously when the game goes to retail, people will be better than others but for now at least No-one seems to be miles better than anyone else.
