MCR are Emo. respect on that. it doesnt matter if you listen to a band that is emo if you like them, its just urgh, emos. theres no other way to put it other than what tomstoon said, MCR are emo.
they look emo, they sound emo, so theres no point trying to say they arnt emo. and for those who are going to still say they arnt, listen to one of their songs, look at the picture tomstoon posted, are you saying thats not emo? if the answer is yes you are in denial

I'm currently playing:
i think MCR are a great band i dont really think there EMO i think there first album was more PUNK than EMO
and there latest album is more ROCK so no they are not an EMO band
and does any1 actuly no some EMO bands cos i cant actuly think of any real EMO bands?

I think the real question here should not be if MCR are emo, but if people should actually care if they are or not.
What difference does it make?
At the end of the day, if you like a band, their music, or even just one of their songs, that certainly doesn't automatically put you into some sort of social bracket for everyone around you to critique.
The music someone listens too surely cannot be that generic to define their personality.
Of course if you want to be put in that bracket, and that's the reason you like it then thats another thing all together

They were slightly emo, as in like they had a very much emo feel to them.
Yet when you see chavs walking round playing "Welcome to the Black Parade" you can't really acuse the music of being emo

I'd personally say that MCR are a theatrically enhanced version of emo. Kinda pop-emo, if you will. They belong in that family, i'd say.

yer some of their songs are good like teenagers which isnt really that emo or not even emo at all but then other songs like welcome to the black parade are really emo so im a mix of whether i like them or not
