personally i hate the DS it has so many games which are like game boy games. i would be a psp cos everything is better apart from the price and being able to touch screen.the ds has got some good games but you can get them for psp. but you should never get bored with a psp ive got one.
hope i havent offended anyone or anything but thats what i think.

You can't get any of the good DS games for PSP because they all use the touchscreen. If you want to play Warioware, PacPix, Zookeeper, Touch Golf, Kirby etc. (i.e. silly but fun games) then get DS. If you want to play GTA, Need4Speed etc. then get a PS2.
Notce that was PS2 not PSP.
Or better still save up a bit more and buy Xbox360.

DS is for younger Children
while the PSP is more adult based

That just simply isn't the case. I'm 27 and I personaly know 7 other people who own DS and are my age or older.
In fact, it almost seems to us that the reverse is actually true. We'd all got bored years ago with the 3 games available (driving game, fighting game, FPS) in about 5 million very similar flavours, and so had pretty much given up on console gaming altogether, with the exception of a few more original titles (ie Stubbs - but even this is a thinly-veiled version of Halo).
PSP can only give you what you've already got, so if you're pushing 30 and are a bit sick of all your Xbox/PS2 games, then buying them again for a smaller screen hardly sets the pulse racing, does it?
Although DS's appeal may be mainly novelty-based, at least it HAS an appeal to me.
Having said all that, Nintendo is obviously more cute and colourful than the others, and so does appeal more to kids.
However if you're sick of games in general, check out Wario and remind yourself what it was like to play something that doesn't just feel by-the-numbers.
You'll probably end up buying it just to make yourself smile for 5 mins every now and then (like I did!)

What's more, if anyone could tell me something cool the PSP does that I was unaware of, then I'd buy one of them too. But it seems to only have games I've already got (Wipeout, GTA, Need4Speed, yawn)

I had both, but hardly ever played the psp. The games are better suited to a large screen. Nintendo DS is much more fun, and a lot cheaper. You can buy one and abotut 5 games for the price of a psp and 1 game.

i mostly use my psp for watching movies on the go. my video i-pod screen is too small for this and the ds doesn't have the ability. hence my choosing the psp over the ds

DS By a journey to portsmouth and Sunderland and back.
Its much better

DS Has the option of using both screens and i believe the PSP is much more limited.
My brothers got a PSP and i havnt even thought of askin to have a go on it. In my eyes, PSP will never beat a good old game of Wi-Fi Mario kart.

DS may let you use 2 screens but lets look at some of the features of PSP- games, movies, and music, personalize your psp with your own background, protected disks and so on. Im not saying th DS hasen't got any good features and im sure it has great features but like its been said before the DS is more of the childrens console where as PSP is more the older children - adult console. But meh the both top quality handheld consoles.
