try looking at the press reviews and the user review that wriggy has written for superman returns. i always look there if i'm undecided whether to buy a game or not.

i played it on demo, its ok, graphics pretty good, gameplay alright. You have to kill evil robots & stuff 
Really cool thing, you can fly up to space & pick people up nd put them on top of skyscrapers!
