If this is New York it means that rockstar have taken the series in a different direction (perhaps less cartoony, more realistic), and also means that if this is NY, then rockstar would probably have created it fully, as in every street and lane and building would be real. Yeah you're right Gaz, it was Grand Central Terminal.
The day/night cycle was pretty sweet showing the way the sun affects the lighting with the shadows, etc. Definetely on my list at No. 1.

I wouldnt liek the less cartooniness... I would very much like it if they kept it the way it was... Why not just put it in london!? But ah well...
P.S I actually liek the idea of playing as a "russian monkey man" the accent is beautiful in my opinion!

X360 would still cost money, and considering that this game is the only next-gen game i'm really interested in..well it better be pretty damn special.

i hope it goes down the route of real cities. Liberty city is cool but NYC would be awesome like harlem and bronx
also id like to know more about this weird guy. sounds like an immagrant, hopefully he will be cooler than CJ
and also im 100% sure its ny with the empire state, statue of liberty, chrysler building and he was walking on the brooklyn bridge
and it doesnt make sense how he said "i killed people, smuggled people, sold people. Perhaps things will be different here"
why different to what hes already done which is badd? hmmm

ive just read 4 pages about what people think about the trailer and i just want to say now that
the russian guy looks weird
defo new york
graphics look awesome
im dissapointed that we didnt see any in game footage or any guns

well that was CRAP
and the original link on first page actually works for me...
i did notice it saying liberty city, but theres loads of landmark NY buildings there
