FIFA 08: Exclusive wii modes

Exclusive modes and Remote controls revealed…

Ever since Wii launched people have wondered how a realistic football game would work on Wii. Well today we have learned that EA is promising something a bit different for FIFA 08 with a new Wii-exclusive mode and Remote controls.

There is a new multi-player mode for the Wii version of FIFA 08 and it's hosted by Ronaldinho as you've never seen him before. EA has created a cartoon likeness of the Brazil and Barcelona star for Footii Party with Ronaldinho, a compilation of games including Table Football and Shoot Off. You have to play as your Mii and unlock Ronaldinho before taking on the star in this new mode which is designed for multi-player football fun.

i sugest u check the Ronaldinho mii it's pretty good and stupid

This actually really impressed me because it shows a good example of taking a mainstream franchise and manipulating it for the wii rather than just doing it as an afterthought.

Who knows perhaps EA are listening to us after all!

I thought they'd do a penalty shootout type thing

looks really good i was always wondering how they would get a fifa game to work with the wii

good but need to keep the main focus on improving the main game rather thannovelty extras.

Graphics will suck.

Either way, it will be a like the wii, a novelty, game will get boring quicker than you will think.

Unlike 360 and PS3, where theres a sense of realism.

No, I'm just Advising to not hype the game if you own a Wii and planning to get it.

Cause you'll get upset, and potentially cry. Cause you'll miss the good ol' ps fifa days.

And yet, people advise others not to spend £425 of their hard earned cash on a PS3 and you go into a hissy fit. Talk about contradicting yourself.

For goodness sake guys grow the hell up!

You each bought your respective consoles for your respective reasons, why the hell do you care whats going on in others?

Stop feeling like you have to defend you rationale for purchasing your console by constantly - and I mean constantly there must be about 5 similar war topics live at the moment - slating the competition to the ground.

Stoon, we all get it - you hate the Wii with a passion - stop going onto the Wii topics and slating it just to gauge a reaction for goodness sake. Its not big and it certainly isn't clever. Its bloody annoying for those of us that want to be able to come on here and actually talk sensibly about things.

And as for the others try not to rise to it, I know it can be frustrating to let flamers have the last word, but let it go, it isn't achieving anything, and it dulls the forums.

I am discussing this game.

And forums are for opinions.

My opinion is:

The game will be rubbish, so if i were you, i woiuldn't hype it.

If theres a problem with that, take it up with the great amigos.

I'm all for opinions, even differing ones as that makes for great debate. However you know as well as I do that there are ways and means of delivering your point.

There are perfectly pleasant ways to put your point across (if you feel you have to on a console you dislike), and going on about things like the maturity of Wii owners in capital letters, and their tendancies to cry should things not go their way, really is not the most grown up thing to do.

So by all means express your opinions of like / dislike for things - I encourage all other users to do the same, but try not to digress into personal attacks because it really isn't worth it. And really, what are you proving?

I like to debate, but only when i know what i'm talking about lol
