This is an amazing game which i think the reviews have been really unfair to giving it things like 7's. I would give this game something in the area of 9 or 10. I dont know why this has happened for them giving its a lower score than i would have expected. Maybe something like comparing it towards Need for Speed Underground 2 and been able to free roam on that and not been able to on rivals. I got Rivals as my first PSP game and it has been a great game for me. the graphics are really good, just like the PS2 and Gamecube ect. The cars are really great just to mess around with and drive in races you have already done. Also you get lots of visual upgrades ect. It would be good if it had online gaming. Although it doesnt multiplayer is still really good to do but i think it would be much cooler with online. I play this game in phases because usually i get hooked on this game after i play it once and trust me it is really addicting once you get going and if you lose a race you will want to keep on doing it until you win. I think it is also good how you have to do the same race 3 times in bronze mode , silver mode and hardest of all gold mode. It will take quite a while to do all the levels. I still havent done the whole game partly because i dont play it that much anymore because im much more interested in games like SOCOM online. Anyway i think that the bonus cars are really cool, they have been done up really well and are fun to get. Although there is a problem if you buy the cars that you have of bonus cars for example after you get DJ Wess's Corvette you wont be able to fit all your cars in your garage which i think is true and find that really annoying. Drift race is a lot different to the ones on previous games. Instead of been a track you are in this warehouse style place and there are poles that you have to go around and drift round them. There will be guidelines on the poles so it is quite easy once you get the hang of it. You think that after about 4 gold they will get a lot harder like having to get something ridiculously hard like 70,000 points but you dont. It doesnt get much higher than 25,000 or something like that. It takes a while to get used to but then after that you will fly through those corners with relative ease. To give you some tips , you cannot turn a different direction once you are on the guiders and dont hit into that stage or something like that because it will cause you to lose the points you were going to get on that turn and crashing will make you lose however many X things you have say if you had X3 and hit an object it will automatically go down to X1 again. Yea so on drift you will find it frustrating at first but once you get the hang of it, its all easy. For Street Cross it is really enjoyable. I found it quite easy and i bet you will to. I think you should unlock a bonuse car after 10 gold on drift. Not always because it depends what car you are using. I got DJ Wess's corvette for that so there is a good rewards to winning it. Drag is easy and really fun except it took me a few trys on 10 gold to beat it. Everything else like circuit stays the same and is easy still like always and you will get the odd hard levels. But a new thing to need for speed is nitrous run. You have to use NOS to go through a number of gates that you are told to. You start out with a full tank and then once you go through a gate it will re fill. Really fun and good.

Well anyway overall its a great game and will be great for the road and it will keep you going for a while
