Got this game off amazon with an extremely fast delivery. I started it up and it took me to a little island where your good and bad sides of your cartoony conscience talk to you about your duty. To be the Peoples God or the Evil God. They take youto a little plataeu then where there are a Monkey, Lion, Wolf and a Cow. Your consience then tels you about what your creature does, he can be a cheeky little, but big in size, pet or a giant killing machine who reaks havoc on towns. You choose, to put your alignment more on the evil side choose the lion or the wolf for that advantage in war or if you want your alignment to go slighlty over to the good side choose the Monkey or the Cow. You then are taught how to move around and how to use your mouse to do it. You are then taken to a stone circle were you are taught how to pick up objects then place them on the ground. You do this by picking up the stone and placing it outside of the green circle.
You are then taken over to a dwelling on the outskirt of a little wood. People come out of a house and you are taught how to create disciples, these disciples do a task you asign them too. You have to drop them by a field to create a Farmer, by a tree to create a Forester, by a building foundation or a damaged building to create a Builder and the opposite gender to create a Breeder, your good conscience seems embarresed about this one... During the game you can also create Mineworkers by dropping them by ore rocks and Worshippers by dropping them in an altar or by a wonder. Here is a list of the disciples and what they can do:
Farmer - Collects grain to feed your people.
Forester - Collects wood so you can build buildings.
Mineworker - Collects ore rocks to build some types of buildings and statues.
Breeder - Men - Won't say
Women - Give birth
Builder - Builds buildings or repairs them.
Worshippers - Create Mana (explain later) and charge up your wonders.
Mana is the charge in your altar building. They are points which all go together and they are kinda spent on spells. These spells are: Water, Fire, Lightning, Heal, Shield and the destructable Meteor!
This game is a great way to spend time, its long and challenging and can take your God life through stages of Peace, War and Destruction. You can conquer or join forces with the rival city. You go through (bare in mind your the Greeks): The Norse Land were there God is a bit of a pushover and you dont need to try to hard to take over there. But, the 3 Japanses Brothers get tougher the first one is a peaceful, second one is in between and has a creature. The Tiger can be killed by your creatue which is one of your goals to complete. the 3rd one is a total nut case on war he istantly attacks you with a few platoons. Those builders better build those walls quick!
This game is one of the best, although I haven't got the Original Black and White nor the Creature Isle Expansion Pack, I'd like to get them. Even my dad had a go at this and he's a 43 ( 44 in a couple of weeks ) year old fart and he has never heard of the word Modern played it, so it must be good. Recomended for teenagers because its challenging and could make your head explode.
