Seconds out! Round 3! :-) (sorry, couldnt resist it).

I have been eagerly awaiting this game ever since the demo came out on xbox marketplace, and if you want to know why the you just need to load up the game and watch.

If you ever wanted to get a game to display the xbox 360's graphics, then this is definatly it! When you play the game for the first time you will be stunned by the look of the boxers, the skin tone, the sweat, the blood, it looks so real! Absolutely amazing

The looks of the game really stands out when you manage to knock down the opponent (or you get knocked down yourself) as the game shows a slow montion replay of your final "killer" punch. And if you are really sadistic then pressing X means you can replay the puch over and over to watch the moment of impact and marvel at the details of the impact with the boxers flesh flexing and bleeding

As well as the graphics, the gameplay is also very robust. Using the right Joystick to control your boxers punches feels a bit odd to start with, but eventually you get the hang of it and youll find you able to duck and weave with the best of them, and youll soon find the staisfaction of KO'ing your oposition in the first round.

The best part of this game has to be the career mode. In my opinion this funcyion is excellent fun with a very clever "create a boxer" mode where you can alter a boxer to look like you or like the freak you always wanted to be! You begin as an ametuer boxer (complete with the red headset to begin with), but very quickly you win the amateur belt and qualify for the professional game and hang up your headset. As you progress through your career you get to choose who you will fight next, and its not just the case of taking into account how much the winnings are! Beating certain fighters or knocking down a boxer in a certain round can reward you with more respect (a good thing!) or even a title shot.

Before each bout you get to do some training, this involves choosing a trainer to train with from a choice of 3. The basic guy who is free and is average at everything, or the strength guy who chargers for his advice, or the speed guy who charges even more! (although I do suspect that the voices for the trainers were recorded by Mr T :-)) The trainig you can do will increase and decrease your stats, depending on which exercise you do, and you can choose to complete the training yourself or autorun it. You will find that initially you will complete the training, but as time goes on you will find yourself autorunning the training in order to get back into the fight, this also applies to the cut and bruise healing that you can do between rounds, you can play the "mini-game" to heal you figher, but after the first few times you with find yourslef autorunning it so you cab get back into pounding the opposition.

The only gripe i would have with this game would be the replayability. As fun as the career is, I dont think there is much incentive to replay it once you finish iT (tho i havent finished it myself yet!) so I worry that when you are the champion of the world you would be relucant to start over. Xbox live offers more gaming pleasures, but unfortuanly I cant talk about that side as I have issues getting onto EA's servers (also experienced with FIFA so im not sure if im doing something wrong).

But to summaries, despite these worries and slight concerns, I think Fight Night 3 is an awesome game, definatly the most amazing graphics out there which will make you jaw drop when you see them (until oblivion comes out at least :-) ) , and an absorbing career mode! The best EA sport game on the xbox 360? You better believe it!
