King Kong was one of the games I got as part of the the Xbox 360 package. As a owner of the ps2 and xbox, I couldn't wait to play it.
At first, I was very unimpressed with the gameplay, despite the good graphics. I put it down to my over-expectations. I had the same experience with the new ps2, that I was not impressed with the batch of games on release.
I did keep coming back to it to give another chance. I then realised why the assistant in the shop gave me a knowing look when he mentioned the trade in deals. Hitting ebay also tells me other people are equally unimpressed.
The game did not get better. It repetitive, boring, un-inventive and dull. Maybe in the days of the spectrum 48, would this have out of this world, but the competition out there is far too strong. There are titles on the xbox that are far superior, half life2 for example.
In short, do not waste your money. Do not rent this game, do not wait on a price cut. Its not worth wasting time. Even if your friend gives you the game, tell him to jump off a mountain.
Play internet pool, much better.
