Morrowind vs Oblivian Morrowind wins

My first thought when Oblivion was scheduled to come out was total elation. It was however dampened by the game it's self. Over all I would have to say that the game in comparison with Morrowind left a feeling of loss. Every thing that you like about Morrowind seemed to be absent in this game. Graphics are great in Oblivion but so is every other game on Xbox 360 or PC (depending on level). But graphics aren't every thing, how well does the game in itself play? How is the story line? Does the whole game leave you with a feeling that you just played a great game? Morrowind is tough to compete against especially in the game concole arena, so did Oblivian compare here is what I think.

First sight the game looked awsome, graphics and story was magnificent, but all the other Xbox 360 games are like that as well. Same with PC. So I was modistly impressed but not blown away. Now if I had been playing the Atari for the past 20 years and nothing else than sure the graphics would have blown me sky high but I haveent I have been playing the XBox 360 for about a month befor Oblivian came out, all the other games had the same level of graphics it seemed to me. When Xbox 360 came out they said the graphiocs would be great so dont be too impressed, Oblivian is doing the same thing that every other game is.

Now as far as game play I am currently pretty far into the game and have yet to be impressed. First they took out levitation and high jump. Two very fun aspects of its counterpart that brought great fun and amusment. Second the delusions of grandure are just a myth im this ever so real game. I cant sit on my own self made throne and know with out a doubt that I could woop up on any one whom apposed me in the game; didnt like what that NPC said to you in passing pull out your armour that reached 250 and draw your sword that one blow and your foes would be sent flying. Those were dreams and realities of Morrowind and not here. You would be lucky to have a sword worth killing the mud crabs in Morrowind by the time that you reached level 10 in Oblivion. They made the highest level weapon 26. Morrowind it was 50-80 or higher (been a while) oh and your armour-16 and 20 for the sheild. PLEASE.. I play games to get away and become something that I am not in reality. To have the greaqt sword and best armour and whole mess of money. Speaking of which that is so scarce to the lower levels I couldn't even buy a health potion (240 gold pecies).

There is this cool thing called fast travel in the game and that I think is retarted. I think that the player misses out on a lot of the senery and fun killing things and robbing bandits and things of that sort by this feature. I liked the stilt striders and the mages guild travel it made the player walk to the nessesary points. There is always the option to travel by horse or foot though. nice touch. They could have made accessories for the horse, bags for tresure that you can't carry. When roaming around I found out that if you kill someone they might be just walking around and are in the same faction as you. If you are not on there quest they will attack you and to kill them means disbandment from that guild. Be careful what you do and what and who you kill.

Main Quest
Havent really doner a vast majority of this but from what I have seen you have to do the thankless job of saving the empire and things of that sort. I found that I got sucked into the main quest a little to quickly and I had no chance to get out untill the first gate was closed. Then you are turned lose and free to monuver and your coneniance. Just make your chioces well. Now Factions- classics are back Mage, Fighters and thives guilds. (Thives guild is hard to figure out how to join good) but the others a little mor complex. For the mages guild you hjave do accomplish a lot before you can get in. The Fighters guild the same ask and you shall recive. The dark brother hood and the theives guilds are alittle more.....exsclusive and that I do enjoy. The Sub quests I feel are a little force full with every town just about you have a sub quest poping up in our face. Dont have to do them of course but kinda feel obligated.

All in all I have found that all that the designers cared about was graphics, and left a bit out of the game. I hope that you your self have fun with it and that it will suit your tastes. I will give it more of a chance but in cvomparison with Morrowind I would take Morrowind and not look back. Have fun. I rate this game as a 2 out of 10.
