this game is pretty good! i got it with my ps2 way back when and i didnt think it was going to be that good until i acctually started to play it and was amazed at what a quality game it was. in this game there are a couple diffrent opptions u can choose from. there is the traditional race option where u go up against i think 7 or so other snowboarders. you race on all kinds of diffrent tracks with jumps and poles thrown thru out them. on races tho ur main objective is to beat everyone in a set of 3 races. you can also make some enemies will snowboarding because u can nok people over to help boost ur tricky bar (which u can use as boost). if u keep hitting the same person over they are bound to get mad at u. u can also become freinds with someone by helping them if someone has been trying to take them out u can take out that person. its quite an ingenious idea. but the even more fun type of racing is the showoff mode. in this mode there are TONS more jumps and grind ploles and anything u could imagine to do tricks off of. your main objective of these is to get as many points as possible by pulling crazy combo tricks and trying to link as many together as u can. also u can do thinks called uber tricks in which u detach urself from your board and flip it around in the and do stuff with it. you can do things like take ur board off and cut urself in half with it or do the worm on it or spin it around ur neck or do a total brake dance rutine on it or ride it like a horse. the possibilities are ENDLESS! these tricks are worth TONS of points and plus if u get floating red yellow and orange snow flakes you can multiply these amounts to just redicules amonts of points that almost ensure a victory. you also get an enormus aray of characters to choose from. each one has his or her own signature moves. and each moves diffrently according to there physical structures. if they are larger they move slower and lift there legs diffrently than a lighter skinny person. for each character u can get new boards and outfits. boards are aquierd by beating levels and getting certain medals. you get new outfits by doing certain combinations of tricks that are then "photographed" (even tho u never get to see these photographs) and you complete portfolio type things and the outfits are then in you inventory. also u can improve your stats by winning races and showoff challenges and you get to choose where u want to improve your skills in like speed flips turns jumps and all sorts of others. also the boards are each disigned for diffrent things. like alpine boards are designed for speed while bmx (or something like that) are designed for trix. you want to choose your board according to what type of race u are doing. u deffinently dont want to pick an alpine board on a show off course because your flips and turns will be extreamly slow and the same goes for a race because u wont get the same kind of speed u get with a alpine board. this game is really an interesting game and i recomend it to all snowboard fans it really puts a diffrent twist on the sport we have come to love!
