FIFA 06 Disappoints.
FIFA 06 on PS2 is no better than last years 2005. Yes it has a good soundtrack, realistic, Lounge mode, Manager mode and commentary, however, it has no turkish, greek, argentinian leagues etc, bad goalkeepers(as usual) and really bad online processes which take really long. It has over 500 licensed teams and quite a realistic pitch, but you get the sense that the faces except really famous players faces all look alike. You get points for unlocking in the Fan shop which is a good idea and the challenges are probably much better than the "15 year" manager mode.
The manager mode is quite good with a wide range of leagues and teams to choose from, but 15 long years of either moving up a league or staying gets a bit boring after 6 years. Also the new offensive system using the D buttons gives FIFA 06 a bit more realism. Pressing them will cause you to have a number of different attacks and press L1 aswell and it has a number of different defences. You will also find that the players show there tiredness slightly more clearer but most of the expert players just seem to run faster than lower rated players.
Get FIFA 06 if you want a realistic feel to football and nicely licensed teams. Oh and Pro Evo is always out there if Ronaldo retires at 50.
