The story is about a man called Dante who fights the forces of hell and evil in general. Hes a half-human, half-demon and very skillful and brave. He looks alot like many other well known game characters and will most likely remind you of solid snake, or that stick figure xaio xaio. (look it up) Devil May Cry features a fantastic lineup of ferocious villains, including giant spiders, fire breathers,lava-spewing demon spiders, knive throwers and many other wild and whakey types.

The gameplay is all about non-stop action. Shooting, stabbing and basicly killing many things. Dante has a massive sword and a pair of pistols called ebony and ivory. But there are alot more weapons to get, these can include, swords, blades, and I think, a secret shotgun to kill the enemy with.
Mainly the game is about pulling of special moves, one of these includes kicking the opponent up into the air and then shoting the sh!t out of them with ebony and ivory.
These special moves and weapons can be unlocked by finding the red orbs usually guarded by one of the evil hellinsh minion people.
But dantes weapons can be upgraded in many shops around the castle.

Controlls in devil may cry are surprisingly simple, and evan in the first five minutes of play, you wont muff up.

This game may sound easy, but given the quantity and ferocity of the enemies, It
dose get hard in the later stages. another thing is the unlimeted ammo thing. This is not really cheeting as such. it just keeps the action flowing like a movie or a good game, and you never have to stop and reload.
For you see thats is what this and most other games are all about. Having good fun. Kicking ass. Not about sitting down being bored, wating for the odd guy to come, then find your guns out of ammo and you have to reload while he shoots you. Similer to a ww2 fps or splinter cell of syphon filter.
Because this is a totally different experience.

Another major aspect of Devil May Cry, is the excellent collection system. Dante collects all kinds of unique items that only get used once, such as shields, gems, and stones, but he also constantly gathers all kinds of colored orbs throughout the game. The for health are green. And as I have said, for upgrades red. The more enemys he kills, the more red orbs he collects, and with them he can open doors to new levels, and buy things to kill with and moves. There are more kinds of orbs, Yellow which gives him extra lives. another are Stars, which make Dante unkillable.
Another thing in Devil May Cry, is the Devil Time Gauge. Players are given a five-point gauge at the bottom of the left-hand screen, and when it's full, Dante can transform into a more powerful, devil character, with unique powers. So for a small amount of time he kills a hell of alot better. The gauge refills as Dante attacks enemies and players can also collect purple orbs to instantly enact Devil Time. You have to press L1 to activate it, and then can pull off other moves, by pressing R1 with other buttons such as square, circle, X and of course triangle.

Graphics in devil may cry are allmost fantastic. The thing is, The level design is brilliantly done with shiny floors and some shiny heads.
But occasionally, thing go wrong because the many design flaws. sometimes things turn invisable if you go up to close, or sometimes you can evan fall through the floor or walk through a wally which is frighteningly reminisant of grand theft autos and drivers blue hell thing.

Boss levels are also hard to beet which will keep you hooked.
(just thought I would add that in at the end)

Worth renting. but not buying.
