Celtic is certainly a team full of past success and growing quality, a respectable team, a good team containing numerous skillful and world class players. Surely a team like this deserves a quality game to go along side it, no? This game is absolutely rubbish. Being a great supporter of Celtic Football Club I bought this game with huge hope and aspiration and it gave me nothing in return. The content is good, having all the necessary content for a quality game but the gameplay, graphics and audio resembles something I would expect to have seen in the 90’s. The game just really does not do it for me, the only thing that gave the game a minute sense of durability was my passion for the football club in real life, had it have been a different club as I know numerous games are for then I would either have returned it or threw it out, a complete waste of money. It’s a better idea to buy a football simulation game or a managerial simulation game and play as Celtic as you certainly will not get any joy whatsoever out o this game. This game should never sell another copy.

I don’t know if they had a problem obtaining the license or something but the game seems not to focus on Celtic at all, but instead to be a prototype as it does not mention Scottish League or Champion’s League, yet instead it reads Domestic League and Club Competition. The focus of the game just seems to be absent from Celtic and it does not really engage you with the game at all, it really disappointed me in fact. I would have preferred them to take more time making the game and improving its quality, they really let Celtic FC supporters down with this game in my opinion.

There is absolutely no realism to this game whatsoever, the match simulations are unconvincing, the response is slow and the character emotions are atrocious, there is no element of fatigue, personal emotions or any life outside Celtic FC between 3:00 and 4:45 on a Saturday Afternoon (match day). I know the title says Cletic Club Football but you would expect to be able to dabble in the transfer market or something, I mean from a modern game I would have expectations, all of the following would come into consideration:

-the media
-training schemes
-advanced tactics editing
-manager communication
-youth player advancement
-all the official names tat make football great
-multiplayer action
-accurate and reliable scout searches

the game delivers on none of these and to be honest it just disappointed me.

The audio during the matches reminds me of a crowd roar for about 2 seconds, so I’m guessing they just taped one and then looped it so that it would cary on for the duration of the match, really it is shocking considering what other games are doing nowadays. I mean look at its challengers, FIFA have created a match simulation that is almost like real life, and not only that they have background stuff as well, like transfers and scouts, morale building and contracts. It is just not my cup of tea at all this game.

‘These accumulate to an absolutely fantastic game that is a must buy for any football fan out there. It beats its sister games such as Championship Manager 5, LMA Manager 2005, Premier Manager 2004/05, even if their quality was put together. The creators have really lived up to their expectations due to the anticipation of this game after the quality of its predecessor: Celtic Club Football 2004, a game still worth buying if you can’t get your hands on this updated version.’- is what I would like to say about the game, but no this game is complete opposite, it is actually at the bottom of the pile, even below premier manager which is saying something.

Any other club and I would give this 1 but as it’s Celtic I give it 2
