Star wars jedi knight jedi academy is the most recent game from the dark forces series, released in 2003 but still played by many. in single player you start by customizing your character (choosing gender, race and clothes). you start as a pupil of kyle katarn, (if you played jedi outcast, he was the character you controlled). you venture out on missions learning forces, saber moves. You may be thinking to yourself this sounds an awful lot like jedi outcast, but here's the best part...
Eventually in single player, you get to:
1. Change your saber into either dual sabers, a staff, or keep the normal single.
2. Choose if you wish to continue with the jedi, or move on to the dark side of the force, working for yourself.
a brilliant storyline for singleplayer aswell.
But wait, what about multiplayer?
The original multiplayer was very similar to outcast, except in this one there's a larger selection of characters, npcs... even vehicles. but of course, you cant have a game without someone making mods, so someone by the name of 'slider' created ja+ which is the largest played mod on jedi academy, more admin control, and more moves to use.
9/10
Brilliant gameplay, runs on a Q3 engine...
Well lucas arts, i'm awaiting JK4. ;)
