This games has it all! lets start from the beginning... the intro sequence shows the most amazing 3d weaponry ive ever seen! it just made me wanna crack on with the game! i like the way teh menu system is layed out, it is very simple and astheticaly pleasing! when starting the levels the sequence is a damn site better than games like S.W.A.T or even Rainbow Six you find it easier to listen and you really are left with questions. i do like my army / shoot em up games, and this has made its way to the top of my list already! now the levels are among the most explosive ive ever seen! with cars, lorries petrol drum and even gas tanks being able to explode (quite a show) im suprised my xbox has the power to keep up with it(especially as it lags on halo link up with 16 players)the levels are a vast maze of warfare where you get to use a combination of stealth and all out firepower (i run around like a headless chicken!) i love the way that you can shoot away walls and other things like bollards or headstones or even the sides of houses. shooting through the floorboards is also another genious touch! the level of detail in the game is also amazing its nothing like what ive seen before ALMOST realistic. the general story line of the game itself is very solid (soldier does missions to catcth weapons dealers)going from place to place chasing the heavy artillery. i also like the objective scheme with the main objectives being completed as you go but also with the oppertunity to search around a bit for the chance to do the secondary missions, its good in that it encourages you to do the secondary objectives before you complete a mission so as to require some sort of skill and not just run through a level quick step. what else is good about the game is that it is very busy, you dont just walk around looking to kill people more often than not they come to find you! the ai is great the ncp's duck away from your shot and even look for cover. as i said before the weaponry on this game is second to none with a reasonably good selection from a magnum right the way through to an RPG. the 3d models are crisp and i'd say acurately portrayed. albeit a dot the crosshair is very informative letting you know weather an object is interactive of an enemy/friendly etc. and the zoom is very nicely done as well. when reloading the screen goes very blurry, in the beginning levels this was very impressive but in progressing it starts to annoy! the health system in the game is also very simple giving the oppertunity to use pack along the way and also picking up top up health and ammo as you kill enemies. there is also no threat of you ever running out of amo or weapons because there are enough enemies being killed to supply you! there are very few negative points to the game i find it has been very well put together. in the killing of people howerver, it sort of struck me as slightly unrealistic with an enemy being killed in about 3 shots with a hand gun and then with an smg or assault rifle the enemy can suck up half of your magazine before dying, which can get very frustrating when there are about 20 enemies heading your way. but i suppose with that it makes you determined to kill more!! also i found that there wasnt a great deal of strategy to the game its really a simple as point and shoot. you cannot really interact physically with anything (open doors, turn handles etc) which can leave you slightly bored of all the killing that you do in the 6 levels i have completed so far i have notched over a thousand and a half frags! in general id say this game is superb. id recommend anybody to buy it as long as your not affraid of a few restarts or unfair deaths! lol the game will keep you glued for hours with plenty of huge levels to busy you up. the game doesnt get too repetetive with a variation of locations (factories, streets, trenches, boat yards and even bridges) final though? buy it!
