Shogun: total war
Shogun total war is the first game of a series of three separate total war games from creative assembly. The sequence being in order, Shogun: total war, Medieval: total war, and last but not least the biggest hit of them all Rome: total war. This game gained strong popularity and at the time it had been several years since a real-time tactical game had done so well. What’s this real world setting you may ask? Shogun: total war is set in medieval Japan at a time when there was no government or anything close centrally power wise just local lords ruled.
Shogun tries to re-create the atmosphere of the 16th century Japan that once was. There are 8 major factions but only 7 are playable. I bought this game many years ago and find it hard to recall much information about the game but have given you all I can remember and I think it should be enough to pursue you to buy this game as it is as all the total war sequels great fun.
