Simply put this collection is bad come ok. What do I mean by that? Well, unlike Taito Legends & Capcom Classics, the games here are all remakes of old classics. Therefore, excluding VR all the other games have so called updated graphics and sound.

Not including the orginal arcade versions could be forgiven if the remakes were any good, however they fail to reach the standard of low tier PS1 games let alone PS2 quality. Pop up (outrun + VR + space harrier),which although present in the arcade simply defy the notion or 'remake'.

However, taking the games as they are, I actually found them quite playable in the end. The games present mindless fun and are best served when played in short burts i.e 20 mins. Its a tragic shame though that the title does not follow Taito Legends' lead and include the 80's classics such as shinobi, wonderboy, hang on etc. For this reason approach with caution and buy only if under a tenner.
