A bunch of Marvel heroes and villains are here for the ultimate showdown. Marvel nemesis is a fighting game where you can run all around the arena finding objects to throw and places to hide. The story of this game is an alien science, Dr. Niles Van Roekel has created fighting machines from human bodies. These are the imperfects. He was hoping to create a perfect, and he has. He was showing fellow scientists paragon when she escaped to earth. The reason why he is makin these fighting machines is unclear at first, maybe he want to take over earth? A is attack, B is jump, X is grab, Y is block, R is super powers and L is mobility mode. Each character has a certain number of attacks, and by holding R (drains power though) you make everything better. You have super close range attacks, super long range attacks, a super 360 block, super jump and super grab. If you are a really strong character like the Thing or venom, you can pick up cars and other heavy stuff. The combat in this game is only one on one, no four player fighting but that would have been good. In the story the heroes and villains of marvel are fighting aliens that have invaded there planet, and looking for paragon. The characters have different skills in strength, speed and durability, although not all are well balanced, for example, Elektra is a pretty weak character. Statistically, Daredevil has the worst stats, but I find with him his super attacks take up less. The characters in this game are spiderman, elektra, daredevil, wolverine, the thing, human torch, iron man, venom, johnny ohm, the wink, fault zone, solara, toxin, paragon, magneto, van roekal, brigade, storm and maybe some more. The imperfects have brilliant storylines, like brigade. it was a mission in iraq and they got blown up by a biological bomb of some sort. van roekal cam and sewee all the pieces together, creating a super soldier of 100 men. he also put guns and weapons to the modern frankenstein. he is haunted by nightmares and memories of these men, and some times he loses control on the battlefield. when you keep attacking you build up rage. using this rage gives you unlimited supers for a time, which is very effective at blasting people to bits. Peoples special attacks can be lightening, claws, massive punches, web attacks, toxic, laser blasts and the list goes on. the graphics on this game are truly spectacular, one fo the best i've seen. the fight scenes are very realistic, well, as realistic as people in spandex fighting eahc other with webs can be. the sound isnt that good, with not too good music, but good voices. The actual gameplay is fun and addictive, and there is a long storyline. the mobility button activates extra mobility. weather it be sprinting where you can also run up walls, web zipping and swinging, flying or teleporting. these also add extra attacks but drain super power. By completeing the story mode you unlock characters and cards. i completed this game on easy and hard twice, hoping to unlock and extra character, i did not. that dissapointed me, but theres still the battle mode. there is seven big arenas, which is a bit of a let down. i played endless battles for ages, the novelty after you completed the story is a lot. it lasted me about another month. then it just suddenly started getting really boring wich is a shame. the replay value for the storyline is a bit. i completed it 3 times but afta twice i didnt want 2 do it again. the storyline is very easy, except for two missions. None of my mates liked it except one, wich is a shame, i really enjoyed the multiplplayer. Some alternate costumes would have been nice, u just get this really wierd zombie one that makes there skin green. i thought this was a great game, but be warned it isnt for everyone. try renting it first maybe.
